Most of the people at Parsons Excavating have been with the company
for more than ten years, some as long as twenty. As individuals, each
is instrumental in the company's
success.
As a crew we are an experienced, mature, and congenial group. Our cross-training
makes us versatile -- giving us the right combination of skills and experience
when and where we need them.

Greg Parsons
Greg founded Parsons Excavating in the spring
of 1977. Just 22 at the time, Greg started his small "owner-operator"
tractor service operation with just a rubber tire Case backhoe,
a 1965 Ford dump truck, a small equipment trailer, and a 1968 chevy
pickup truck.
Within a few years, G. A. Parsons Excavating had grown into a full
service excavating, underground utility, asphalt paving, and survey
company. (our Company History pages
tell more of the story...)
Today Greg manages the office end of acquiring and bidding work
for the company. But he'll never turn down an opportunity to get
back on that paver or grader! He's a three-time winner in local
excavator rodeos.
Greg was the 2006-2007 Secretary/Treasurer for the Oregon and SW Washington chapter of the National Utilities Contractors Association. |

Lori Sage
Lori joined Parsons in 1986, and is the office
operations manager. She handles payroll, accounts payable, accounts
receivable, Greg, ... and keeps the bird feeder outside the office
window filled. If we ever had to replace Lori, the ad would say:
"help wanted : two office managers needed to replace Lori!" |

Pat Scheeland
Pat Scheeland started working at Parsons' Excavating in 1983, straight out of high school and "green as a turnip". Although Pat is Greg's younger brother he had to work his way up through the ranks – first digging ditches and working his way up to tractor operation. Now, with 26 years of experience, Pat works as our job superintendent, managing all the field operations. |
