Greg has always been very active in his church, children's school and the community. One of these charitable activities is auctioning off appearances by his refurbished 1948 American-La France Firetruck. The firetruck has been featured in auctions for Holy Trinity Church, St. Mary's School.

In addition to these private appearances, the 75-foot ladder truck appears every year in the Tigard parade with the Tigard High School Football Team.

When Holy Trinity parish built their long awaited new church, Parsons did the excavation work for the project. Greg donated all the equipment time, a huge savings for the church. He also cut up eight truckloads of wood from the trees removed for the project which Holy Trinity auctioned off at their yearly auction.

Parsons Excavating has installed playground equipment at both Holy Trinity and Valley Catholic Grade Schools.

Parsons continues to donate repair work at both the Holy Trinity and Valley Catholic.
